Museum Bonnat-Helleu

The Bonnat-Helleu Museum is the fine arts museum of the city of Bayonne. It is temporarily closed for restructuring and modernization.
The museum is named after Léon Bonnat, from whom it received a collection of works by great painters: Rubens, El Greco, Ribera, Ingres, Degas, and more, as well as Paul Helleu, whose works are represented thanks to the generosity of Madame Howard-Johnston.
The museum houses 5,000 works, ranging from Antiquity to the Middle Ages, and from the Renaissance to the 20th century.
Our hotel is located less than a 10-minute walk from the museum.
